 River Cleanup  Day was a huge success:

More than 40 volunteers collected

over 800lbs of trash and 12 tires!

Details:

Meeting at the Elkton Boat Landing at 8am and concluding at the Shenandoah Boat Landing at 2pm (return shuttles provided)

Most volunteers will paddle the 7 mile stretch of the Shenandoah River between Elkton and Shenandoah, collecting trash and litter along the river. To register, volunteers must be able to swim and sign a liability waiver. 2 Adults per canoe, one child may join if 5 years+, 50 lbs, and able to swim. 

Sign up with a friend, group or as an individual (you'll later be paired with a partner). Prepare by wearing layers, gloves, protective shoes, sunscreen, bug spray and bring water.

Massanutten Adventures will provide canoes and equipment, safety instructions, adventure staff and trash bags and supplies.

Local businesses are donating snacks & lunch, and prizes for clean up contests.
